HI

V109 is the AVC (Automatic Volume Control), normally, if you unplug V109, the sound should stay but without AVC. The volume can change a lot from one disk to another (no more volume regulation).

CR102 is used to have a progressive increase of the volume at the begining of a disk. If CR102 fail, it's possible to have a volume problem affecting both channels.
Your problem is the same on both channels, take a look to the schematics, there is few commons part (power supply, AVC).
Have you tried to 'wash" the volume potentiometer with a special 'contact spay' ?
Bon courage
Thierry

So it could be the AVC.
I have NO sound (both channels) when I remove the tube.
All other options about cleaning etc I already have done.
I will check the CR's and will let you know.
